Reykjavík Tattoo School is the first tattoo school in Iceland. It is operated in cooperation with Valkyrie Tattoo Studio.
Valkyrie opened in 2018 and has been the top rated studio in Iceland for 5+ years.
Our goal is to offer a safe learning environment to all aspiring artists that would like to pursue a career as a tattoo artist, and give them the tools they need to become successful tattoo artists and studio owners.

Melissa is the owner of Valkyrie and has been tattooing since 2005.
She is experienced with many styles but her main focus is fine line floral and botanical, geometric and dotwork.
She is experienced with tattoo coverups and tattooing over scars.

Courses
This is a comprehensive 10 hour course spent over two days where you will learn the basics of tattooing and get to practice different techniques on fake skin.
Tattoo Fundamentals
This is a 32 hour course spent over 2 weeks. The focus is building a solid foundation of knowledge and skills and start building a tattoo portfolio.
Blood borne pathogen class is included.
Apprenticeship
This is a complete apprenticeship program. Applicants are carefully selected and upon graduation are guaranteed a job offer. Space is extremely limited. Blood borne pathogen class is included.
